Beyond Inspection: The Four Pillars of Libellum

Inspection | Quality | Fabrication Assurance | Asset Integrity

Four Pillars. One Integrated Approach.

As Libellum has developed, so too have the requirements of the industries and clients we support.

What began with a strong foundation in Non-Destructive Testing has evolved into a wider technical assurance offering, bringing together specialist inspection, quality management, fabrication assurance and asset integrity expertise.

Our four pillars provide a clear structure for these capabilities, allowing us to support clients at different stages of a project's lifecycle, from initial design and manufacturing through to installation, operation and ongoing maintenance.

1. Inspection – Confidence Through Technical Expertise

Inspection remains a fundamental part of Libellum and the foundation upon which our business was built.

We provide conventional and advanced Non-Destructive Testing services to help clients verify material condition, identify defects and demonstrate compliance with applicable specifications and standards.

Our capabilities include Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), Eddy Current Testing, Visual Inspection and Corrosion Mapping.

From individual components to complex industrial assets, our inspection services deliver reliable technical information to support informed decisions.

2. Quality – Assurance Beyond Inspection

Effective quality management begins long before the final inspection.

Through Libellum Quality Solutions, we provide independent quality assurance, vendor surveillance and technical support to clients across the UK and internationally.

Our capabilities include supplier and vendor surveillance, manufacturing inspection, project quality support, inspection and test plan reviews, technical documentation assessment and quality control oversight.

By working closely with manufacturers, contractors and asset owners, we help ensure that project specifications, contractual requirements and applicable standards are understood and achieved throughout delivery.

Our approach is practical, independent and focused on identifying potential issues before they become costly problems.

3. Fabrication Assurance – Getting It Right From the Start

Successful fabrication depends on more than the quality of the finished product.

It requires suitable welding procedures, qualified personnel, effective technical controls and appropriate inspection throughout the manufacturing process.

Libellum provides specialist fabrication assurance services, including Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) support, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR), welder qualifications, CSWIP welding inspection and BS EN 1090 technical support.

By combining welding coordination, fabrication surveillance, technical review and inspection expertise, we help clients maintain control over fabrication quality, reduce unnecessary rework and demonstrate compliance with project requirements.

4. Asset Integrity – Protecting Operational Assets

Our involvement does not have to end when an asset enters service.

Maintaining the safety, reliability and continued suitability of operational equipment requires an informed and structured approach to inspection and integrity management.

Libellum supports asset owners and operators through pressure vessel inspection to API 510, piping inspection to API 570, storage tank inspection to EEMUA 159, PSSR-related inspection support, corrosion mapping, condition assessment and asset inspection management.

These services help clients understand the condition of their assets, identify deterioration, prioritise maintenance and make informed decisions about continued operation.

Our focus is on providing practical technical assurance that supports asset safety, operational reliability and long-term performance.

Bringing Our Capabilities Together

The real strength of Libellum's four pillars is how they complement one another.

A fabrication project may require welding procedure qualifications, independent quality surveillance, specialist NDT and technical documentation review.

An operational facility may require advanced inspection, corrosion assessment, pressure equipment examination and longer-term integrity planning.

Rather than approaching these requirements as isolated activities, Libellum can provide coordinated technical support across multiple disciplines.

This integrated approach creates greater continuity, clearer communication and improved visibility of quality and technical requirements throughout a project or asset lifecycle.

Built on Our Foundations. Focused on the Future.

Our development into four specialist pillars represents the continued evolution of Libellum.

We remain proud of our inspection heritage and the relationships we have established with clients across a wide range of industries.

Those foundations remain central to our business, but our expertise and capabilities now extend well beyond traditional NDT.

As we continue to develop, our focus remains on strengthening our technical capabilities, building long-term relationships and supporting increasingly complex projects across the UK and internationally.

Four pillars. One business. A commitment to delivering dependable technical assurance across the full asset lifecycle.
